For our Graphic Design 2 midterm, each student took a public domain book, designed it in full, and had it printed. I chose my favorite classic, A Christmas Carol, and padded it out with ‘The Chimes’, Dickens’ story about New Year’s Eve.
I utilized imagery evoking death (tombstones and the shadows they cast), mortality (a lifeline that also reflects a flatline), and of course the three ghosts (represented by three flowers on the gravedirt).
